Fair Use Rationale

Fair use rationale for use of pictures, images, & videos (the OBJECTS).

These “objects” are being used to illustrate the time frame in question and is used for informational or educational purposes only.

These objects are of low resolution.

It is believed that these object will not devalue the ability of the copyright holder to profit from the original work.

No alternate, free object exists that can be used to illustrate the subject matter.
The use of the objects, and the copyright for it are most likely owned by either the publisher or the creator of the work depicted. It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of posters, images or use of a song to provide critical commentary on the film, musical, event, etc. in question or of the poster itself, not solely for illustration on the Spectacular Follies website, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Spectacular Follies, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of these objects on SpectacularFollies.com or elsewhere, may not be interpreted copyright infringement.

The Spectacular Follies is a non-profit organization and will not profit from the use of the objects. However, we will place the copyright holder’s copyright notice in the objects’ HTML ALT/Title tag and/or “credits” if requested in writing.

Please contact webmaster@spectacularfollies.com with the object’s page URL and the exact text string required to meet your needs. We will accommodate you in any way that we can.
