Stayin’ Alive! Our 70s Flashback

Auditions for the Spectacular Follies’ “Stayin’ Alive! Our 70s Flashback!” will be held on Feb 3rd and 4th, 2024.

We are looking for entertainers over the age of 55 to volunteer for our 13th Spectacular Follies show, “Stayin’ Alive! Our 70s Flashback”

Singers
Dancers (ensemble)
Specialty Acts (performance groups, solo dance, comedy routines, ventriloquist, instrumentalists, etc.)
Showgirls

Requirements

Entertainers must be at least 55 years old (by show date – April 25, 2024)
All audition pieces must be 3 minutes or less in length
Singers will sing their selected audition song
- Bring MP3 on flash/thumb drive, background CD or sheet music in your key
- An accompanist will be available
Solo Dancers provide their music CD, MP3 or sheet music
Audition songs should be from the 70s
Ensemble dancers will be taught a dance combination
Showgirls should wear leotards/tights and heels and be prepared to move, pose and navigate stairs
There will be space available for props, costumes, etc.
Please bring a headshot or a photo of your performance group

Audition Schedule

Saturday, Feb 3, 2024
- 10:00 am – 2:30 pm: Singers, solo dancers and specialty acts
- 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm: Dance Ensemble
- 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Showgirls
Sunday, Feb 4, 2024
- 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Singers, solo dancers and specialty acts

Audition Location

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals begin March 9th.
Rehearsals are typically held Saturdays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday afternoons 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm. Monday evenings are called as needed.
Not all cast members are required at each rehearsal. You will be notified when you are required for rehearsal.
The full rehearsal schedule will be shared with the cast at orientation.
